Art Writing

For more than 10 years, I’ve developed a body of creative work that includes scholarly investigations highlighting my interest in cultivating spaces that allow people to learn about each other and themselves through the arts.

Broadly, I am curious about how others read the world and how their reading(s) influence everything.

Specifically, I am most interested in:

  • how art objects and experiences are perceived in the marketplace;
  • the politics of culture and aesthetics;
  • the role of conversation and questioning in creative pursuits; and
  • reconsiderations of language as applied to interpreting art objects and experiences.

My hybrid essays, reviews, conversations, interviews, and meticulously researched articles in both print and digital media meet a critical need for sparking thoughtful dialogues about the relationship between art and meaning making.

Are you an artist or cultural worker looking for a subject matter expert who can provide a range of thoughtful writing on the role of arts and culture in society? Let's be in touch.
